JIWON YANG

Jiwon Yang studied art at the Sunhwa Art School in Korea. Her art training lead to an exciting career as a coordinator for the Tasaki Co., one of Korea's largest jewelry companies. There she explored her passion to create style through her conceptual ideas of shape and design. Jiwon's desires to further her creative passions lead to a life changing decision where she left her homeland of Korea to arrive on the doorsteps of the Vidal Sassoon Institute in Los Angeles, CA. It is there that she began to explore and hone her talents as a hairstylist; and birthing her desires of eventually coming to NYC.

She has worked for various hair salons in the chic and trendy Soho area of Manhattan which eventually lead to her current relationship with the Oscar Bond Salon. In addition to her extensive salon experience, Jiwon has had the honor of working with various celebrated stylists for such prestigious fashion magazines as Bazaar (August/October 2007), Elle (December 2007), Russian Vogue (August 2007), and Flair (December 2007). Moreover, she has worked on exciting projects such as the Sarah Jessica Parker Clothing Brand Look Book, Conair Marketing Campaign 2007, Benhaz Sarafpour Summer/Spring 2008 Fashion Show, and Zegna Spring/Summer 2008 Fashion Show.

Jiwon's diverse creative background has enriched her unique approach to trend, style, and design; and she is thrilled to be able share this knowledge base with her clientele at the Oscar Bond Salon. After all, her greatest desire is to extend her deep love for style to all her clients, and as she has simply stated "to make people feel pretty".
